world no. 1 seed justine henin announced her retirement from professional tennis on wednesday, "with immediate effect" !

as maria sharapova is currently seeded no. 2 in the world; henin's retirement means that as of monday the 19th sharapova will reclaim the world number 1 ranking, which i'm thrilled about, but at the same time, i'm still dissapointed that henin has retired, especially right before the french open -being on clay- where she plays exceptionally well.

anyway, i guess she can start spending all of that prize money she's earned in her career.

i think i'd buy an island with it... or a segment of the moon.
